A Field Guide to Home & Desk Robots

Editorial standards

Wobblebots is a research-based registry: every review is synthesized from sourced documentation, published testing, and long-term owner reports — we never claim hands-on testing we haven't done. Some outbound links are affiliate links (Werbung); the disclosure sits above the link itself, and a commission never changes a verdict, a score, or a robot's place in the registry.

We are a registry first

Every robot in the catalog has a structured record: verified specifications, dated prices, subscription facts, cloud-dependency assessment, and community signals. Review pages are written from that research base — the page renders the record, and the record cites its sources.

Research-driven, and labeled as such

Our profiles synthesize current manufacturer documentation, published independent testing, expert coverage, and long-term owner feedback from communities — forums, Reddit, YouTube — cross-checked and cited in each page's source record. Where we have hands-on experience with a robot we own, the page says so explicitly ("Home tested since…"). We do not claim testing we haven't done, and we don't present research conclusions as personal anecdotes.

Automation, supervised

We use software agents to monitor prices, availability, firmware releases, and new robots, and to draft research summaries. Every published page is reviewed and approved by the named human editor. Automated data points are timestamped; per-page approval is logged.

Imagery

Two kinds of images live here. Evidence imagery — product photos, owner footage, Field Recordings — carries its provenance on the page: source, credit, and rights status. Brand and editorial imagery — banners, illustrations, technical plates — may be drawn, composed, or AI-assisted; it depicts generic machines, not real products, and is never presented as documentation.

Independence

Manufacturers don't pay for coverage or scores. Commission rates never decide recommendations — several registry entries earn us nothing. Review units, when accepted, are disclosed on the page and never conditioned on outcomes.

Corrections

Errors get fixed fast and noted on the affected page. Prices and availability are re-verified on a rolling schedule; every commercial claim carries its "as of" date. Spotted something wrong? Tell us — reader corrections are credited.

Affiliate disclosure

Some outbound links are affiliate links (Werbung — advertising): if you buy through them we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. The label sits above the links. Full policy: affiliate disclosure.
